Third International Workshop on
User-Centric Technologies and applications (MADRINET’09)
University of Salamanca (Spain)
10th-12th June 2009
http://gsii.usal.es/~madrinet2009/

This workshop aims at presenting and discussing the key elements in frontier
communications and location technologies, data processing and multisensory
fusion and the paradigms for intelligent/adaptative management, that will make
feasible the development of advanced applications for ambient intelligence. In
this context, the concept of “feasibility” gathers together
technology and service requirements and business model viability. On the other
hand, the broad concept of “ambient intelligence” should be here
understood as one where mobile services, whichever they are, are provided to
the final user in a transparent, ubiquitous, continuous and personalized
way.
This workshop is organized by Madrinet, MADRINET is one of the largest
cooperative research programs being realized in Madrid with the participation
of institutions from all over Spain. It was selected for funding after a
rigorous competitive evaluation. Its main objectives on the one hand, advancing
the key elements in frontier communications, location and sensor fusion
technologies and, on the other hand, conceiving and developing advanced
wireless applications and ambient intelligence services. [ more... ]
This event will be carried out in parallel with other three events (IWPACBB, IWAAL and DCAI)
The workshop will be organized into the 10th International Work-Conference on Artificial Neural Networks (IWANN2009). All papers accepted will be published in an special volume of IWANN in Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS Springer Verlag).
IWANN is included in the ranking of the best conferences established by the Computer Science Conference Ranking based on the
"Estimated Impact of Conference (EIC)",concretely in position 55 among 620 considered (in the Artificial Intelligence field). Therefore the papers will be indexed by CiteSeer.IST,
and by the organization Computing Research and Education Association (CORE).
